A good harvest brings a smile to all Farmers but we may not feel the fact that a farmer s success keeps our tummies full SIS rejoices with the overwhelming joy of the HARVEST FESTIVAL celebration solemnized on our premises to thank the Sun God Mother Nature and the dedicated service of the Farmers As the morning beams of sunlight graced us The day began with a gaiety that got up under the joint Auspices of the Students Teachers and Non-Teaching staff members of our school All of us attired conventional costumes that expressed our Traditional Identity The intricately drawn designs of special Rangoli filled the school grounds manifesting a Rich Treat to the beholder s eyes The Teachers Team prepared the Sweet Pongal as per our Tradition ended with the Greetings of PONGAlO PONGAL Traditional games were organized in the Forenoon session as competitions for the children such as Kabadi Sack Race Rangoli Skipping and Spinning Top During the afternoon session Students were allowed to play Traditional Tamilian Games like Pallankuki Kalarchikai Poo Poovai Pandi Goli Gilli and Uriyadithal that made everyone delight and brought the festive spirit in our campus Our conventional Uriyadi game has been conducted for the Staff Members as competition At the end of the Auspicious ceremony Farmers who are the heros of our tradition Honoured by our adorable Correspondent Mam Mrs Priyadarshini with festive gift bag All the competition winners are honoured by our correspondent Mam with traditional clay offerty box There was also cultural event performed by the students and speeches on significance of the festival The Propitious celebration ended on a sweet note of Pongal greetings by the our principal to al the students and staff members Lastly Sweet Pongal has been Distributed to all the Students and staff in our Campus Finally the day ended with the radiance of the Divine blessings that shallowed our campus with Joy and Hope for Everyone around us
