TEACHERS EMPOWERMENT TRAINING PROGRAM AND RELAXATION PROGRAM DATE 12 11 2022 PLACE Cheranmahadevi TIME 9 30 to 3 15 HOST Mrs Aruna Raman Founder Principal of Vedic Group of Institutions Former Principal who served in many Kendra Vidyalaya Schools and Members form Heartfulness Meditation Center KEY POINTS The Self-realizing interactive session began with some brainstorming questions about the qualities of a good teacher and the expectations of an organisation Discussions about class control problem-solving techniques planning preparing and executing Learnt to identify the visual auditory and kinesthetic learners Emphasized the need for counselling the students Explained well about the social mental and emotional intelligence and the importance of emotional quotient spiritual quotient and adversity quotient Importance of life skills social skills and value-integrated teaching was taught with real-life examples Motivated us to be inspirational teachers with complete dedication and determination Explained the way to lead a successful and happy life by implementing Life skills like mental skills social skills and emotional skills Discussed the difficulties encountered by a teacher in a classroom Based on the New Education Policy the need for foundational literacy and numeracy was elaborated with the action plan to be executed Emphasized the importance of developing reading skills and develop fundamental maths calculations Introduced some new techniques such as entry-level exams screening exams and diagnostic exams to identify the students who are lacking in reading and calculating skills Explained the role of primary teachers class teachers and language teachers in the development of a child The day ended with the mind-relaxing and stress-releasing session conducted by the Heartfulness meditation centre
